"The lake terrain is ideal for small mouth bass Fisherman Coolie Williams caught the Kentucky state record small mouth bass about 1/4 mile from Holly Bay marina on Laurel River Lake. He set the record on May 16th, 2000 during a fishing tournament. The bass was a whopping 8.46 pounds."
